Belmar, New Jersey has only four nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. This city's nursing homes received a superb city grade of A-, so what this city lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. In fact, this is one of the 500 best cities in the United States. This is impressive given that we assessed thousands of cities around the nation. The best aspect of Belmar's strong report card is its nursing homes' inspection scores. On top of having quality nursing homes overall, this city really excelled in the area of inspections, where we gave it a grade of A+. Very few cities earned a better grade in this category. Our inspection ratings are based on many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this category tend to have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. In addition, we also wanted to point out that we awarded Belmar an A- for our long-term care rating. Rounding out its quality profile, this place earned a B+ for its nursing rating and a grade of B+ in short-term care. This city did not have any weak links as far as we could tell.
