With just four nursing homes in the city, there are only a few options in Stillwater, Minnesota. We awarded the nursing homes here a strong city grade of B+. Even with just a couple of facilities, this is still a great sign. We found this city grade to be even better than the city grade of B received by the nearby city of Anoka. Both cities received impressive grades, but Stillwater appears to be an even better place to find a nursing home. The best aspect of Stillwater's impressive report card is its nursing homes' inspection scores. We discuss inspections in the next section
On top of having excellent nursing homes overall, this place really excelled in the category of inspections, where it received an A. Not many cities earned a better grade in this category. Our inspection scores are tied to many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this area have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. In addition, we also wanted to emphasize that we awarded Stillwater an A- in our nursing category. Wrapping up its profile, we awarded the city grades of B+ and D for our short-term care and long-term care categories respectively. For the most part, this place's category grades were strong, but this weak long-term care score may suggest lower levels of nurse staffing.
