Mansfield, Ohio has just three nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. Sadly, this city received a city grade of D, which is a sign that these facilities generally did not fare well in our ratings. For comparison's sake, we assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of Lorain, which also received a city grade of D. Both cities received forgettable reports from us. We really don't have too many good things to say about this place's nursing homes, but they did receive surprisingly strong inspection scores. You can continue reading to find out about this.
While its overall score was abysmal, we actually awarded the nursing homes in Mansfield a B+ for our inspections rating. This category obviously isn't the reason for this place's concerning overall grade. Inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and substantiated complaints. You can learn more about each of these items by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. We also wanted to acknowledge that we awarded Mansfield a grade of C in our long-term care category. In the last two categories, we awarded the city rock bottom grades for our short-term care and nursing areas respectively.
