Saint Cloud, Florida has just four nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. We awarded this small group of nursing homes a city grade of B, which is a perfectly respectable score. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Rockledge, which received a city grade of C. We found Saint Cloud to be a far better option. Part of the reason this city received a favorable overall grade is that many of its nursing homes excelled in the category of inspections with a B+. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining our inspection scores. One key factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these end up being relatively minor. The city also earned one of our better grades in the area of long-term care, with a grade of B+. Finally, Saint Cloud received a B for its nursing grade and a B- in the area of short-term care.
