Pleasant Grove, Alabama is a medium size city with 10,099 people. The city features only 2 nursing homes, which doesn't give you too many choices. Despite not having a ton of nursing homes, this city's nursing homes received a very good city grade of B+. By way of comparison, we awarded the nursing homes in the local city of Bessemer a city grade of B-, which is also a decent grade. Nevertheless, we found the facilities in Pleasant Grove to be a slightly better bet than the ones in Bessemer. We were also pleased to find that this city's nursing homes did not have any weak links in any of the major categories discussed below. More information about these categories is available in the next paragraph.
To go along with its great overall grade, we awarded this city an A- in our inspections rating. Inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. You can find more information about each of these items by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. In addition, the city received a B+ in the area of long-term care. In the last two categories, we gave the city middle of the road grades in our nursing and short-term care areas.
