Facility Inspections

In addition to being a quality facility overall, this facility really excelled in our inspections category, where it earned an A. Few facilities performed better in this area. Inspection scores are tied to many pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that score well in this category typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This facility received 9 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were considered to be severe. This tells you that the government inspectors did not consider any of the deficiencies to cause an immediate threat to patient health or safety. We should point out that deficiency-free inspections are uncommon in this industry.

Short-term Care Quality

The purpose is to formulate a tool for comparing the rehabilitation services of various facilities. We weren't able to locate information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.6 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B

The third area we looked at was long-term care. This facility was awarded an above average long-term care score, with a grade of B in the area. Facilities that receive this type of grade in this category typically provide consistent around the clock care to make sure patients are kept in good health. On top of assessing the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility provided the vaccine to 98.514854 percent of its residents. Vaccines are critical to keeping patients healthy. Finally, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.
