There are 6 nursing homes in Rock Hill, South Carolina, providing for a population of 107,897 people. Impressively, this city's nursing homes received a world class city grade of A-. In fact, this city's city grade far surpassed the city grade of facilities in the nearby city of Hickory. While there is nothing wrong with the nursing homes in Hickory, we found Rock Hill to be on a whole other level. We were so impressed with this city that we rated it as one of the 500 best cities in the entire country.
This city received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to point out that some of its facilities received virtually perfect health inspections the past few years. We awarded Rock Hill an elite grade of A in this category. Perhaps the most significant factor we consider in computing our inspection ratings is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a facility's inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this category most likely dodged the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. We also awarded Rock Hill a grade of A- in our long-term care category. Wrapping up its impressive report card, the city were awarded a B+ for nursing and a B+ in short-term care. This place really did not have any weak links as far as we could tell.
