There is only one nursing home in Gaffney, South Carolina, providing for a small population of 40,093 people. This facility earned an overall grade of B, which is a quality rating. This is as good or better than the city grade of the average city in the nation. The best aspect of this facility's impressive report card was its inspection score. Inspection reports are discussed in the next paragraph
As mentioned above, this city's nursing home received a great overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize its nearly flawless health inspections in recent years. We awarded it an impressive grade of A+ in this area. Our inspection scores are based on pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This city also performed extremely well in our long-term care category, where we awarded it an A-. In the last two categories, the city received grades of C and D for our nursing and short-term care areas respectively. We are admittedly disappointed by this city's short-term care rating, but there is still plenty to be enthusiastic about in this city's profile.
