This city received a respectable city grade of B- based on its overall nursing home quality. This is a middle of the pack grade compared to other places in the United States. Finally, this city's nursing homes received consistent grades in all four of the major categories we assessed. More information about these categories is available in the next paragraph.
This city received a somewhat average overall grade, however, we really wanted to point out that some of its facilities nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave it an elite grade of A in this area. Perhaps the most important factor we look at in calculating our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies are found on a facility's inspection reports. Nursing homes with higher scores in this category most likely dodged the most severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. This city received its second highest grade in the category of long-term care, where we gave it a B-, which is also a respectable grade. Finally, this place earned a C for its short-term care score and a C in nursing.
