There are three facilities in Milton, Florida, which at least gives you a few options. This city's nursing homes received a phenomenal city grade of A-, so what this place lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. In fact, this place's city grade even surpassed the city grade of nursing homes in the local city of Crestview. This is especially impressive in light of the fact that we gave those facilities in Crestview a city grade of B, which is a good grade in its own right. We were so impressed with Milton that we ranked it as one of the top 250 cities in the United States.
This city received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to point out that some of the city's nursing homes received almost flawless health inspections in recent years. We awarded Milton an impressive grade of A+ in this area. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing our inspection grades. One key factor is deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some of these are quite insignificant. In addition, we also awarded Milton an A- for our short-term care category. Rounding out its top notch report card, Milton received an A- for its long-term care grade and a B+ for nursing.
