We found this city grade to be considerably better than the city grade of B received by the nearby city of Jackson. Both cities have some quality nursing homes, but Clinton appears to be a much better bet. This place's impressive report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' inspection reports, which is addressed in the next paragraph.
As mentioned above, this city received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize that some of the city's facilities received nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We awarded Clinton an impressive grade of A for this area. Inspection ratings are based on datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this area tend to have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Clinton also performed remarkably well in the area of long-term care, where we gave it an A- for that category. Wrapping up its report card, the city earned a B+ for short-term care and a B in the area of nursing. We truly found this city to be very competent in every category.
