Connersville, Indiana has only four nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. This city received a city grade of B- based on its overall nursing home quality. This is right about in the middle of the pack by national standards, which is perfectly respectable. One of the best aspects of this city's report card is its exemplary inspection score, which we will address in the next paragraph.
While its overall score was fairly ordinary, we awarded this city a grade of A- for our inspections rating. Inspection scores are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this category tend to have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This city's next highest grade was in long-term care, where it received a B-. In the other categories we looked at, Connersville were awarded a C for short-term care and a grade of D in the area of nursing. Despite an otherwise respectable profile, a nursing grade in this range may be an ominous sign for nursing staffing levels.
