You can scroll down to learn more about long-term care and other category grades.
This city's nursing home received an awful overall grade, but we gave it a grade of B- in the category of long-term care. For long-term care residents, the nursing home's primary goal is to keep patients as healthy and safe as possible. This is different than skilled nursing or short-term care where the goal is to rehabilitate residents. The next best grade we gave this city in any category was its nursing grade, where it received a B-. In the last two categories, this place earned a grade of C for its short-term care grade and a grade of D in inspections. Even with an otherwise outstanding profile, we find an inspections score this low to be alarming.
