Canton, Georgia offers just two nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. While it only has a couple of nursing homes, this city received a phenomenal city grade of A-. In fact, this city's city grade was far better than the city grade of facilities in the nearby city of Atlanta. While there's nothing wrong with the nursing homes in Atlanta, we found Canton to be in a totally different league. This city's impressive profile was highlighted by its nursing homes' inspection grades, which we will address in the next paragraph.
On top of having excellent nursing homes on the whole, this city's nursing homes really excelled in the category of inspections, where we gave it a grade of A. Not many cities fared this well in this area. Inspection scores weigh a host of factors found on a facility's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we consider is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Nursing homes with higher grades in this category generally have very few of these severe deficiencies. In addition, Canton also received one of our better grades in the area of short-term care, with a grade of B+. Rounding out its quality report card, this place were awarded a B+ for its nursing score and a B for long-term care. Canton did not have any weak links as far as we could tell.
