In addition to having quality nursing homes overall, this city really excelled in the area of inspections, where we gave it an A. Not many cities fared this well in this area. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in calculating these inspection ratings. One key factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some are relatively minor. In addition, the city performed spectacularly well in terms of its short-term care grade as well. Consequently, we awarded it an A- in this area.
