Northfield, Minnesota offers just two nursing homes to choose from, so you have relatively limited options. While this place didn't have a ton of nursing homes, this city received an excellent city grade of A-. We also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Rochester, which received a city grade of B. As impressed as we were with the nursing homes in Rochester, we found Northfield to be even better. The best aspect of Northfield's strong profile was its nursing homes' inspection ratings. Inspection grades are discussed in the next paragraph
To pair with its great overall grade, we awarded this city an A in our inspections rating. Our inspection scores weigh a host of factors included in a nursing home's inspection reports. One key criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Places with better grades in this category usually have few severe deficiencies. In addition, we also wanted to point out that we awarded the city an A in our nursing category. Rounding out its impressive report card, we gave the city a B+ in our short-term care category and a B+ in the area of long-term care. We truly found this place to be competent everywhere we looked.
