With a population of 89,737 , Holland, Michigan is a medium size city. Surprisingly, there are just 3 nursing homes in the city, which is not quite as many as we expected in a city of this size. The nursing homes here received a phenomenal city grade of A-. Even with just a couple of nursing homes, this is still quite an achievement. We found this city grade is considerably better than the city grade of C received by the nearby city of Battle Creek. Although that is not a terrible grade, Holland appears to be on a whole other level. On top of this, Holland is also one of the top 500 cities in the country.
This city's nursing homes received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to point out that we gave Holland an elite grade of A in this category. Cities with these kinds of nursing ratings generally have facilities offering quality nursing care. We also awarded this city an A- for our short-term care rating. Wrapping up its report card, this place earned grades of A- and B- for our inspections and long-term care areas respectively. Outside of its long-term care rating, this city's three other grades were just about as good as it gets.
