The best part of this place's report card was its nursing homes' exemplary inspection grades. Inspection grades are discussed in the next paragraph.
While its overall score was fairly ordinary, we awarded this city's nursing homes an A for our inspections rating. Inspection ratings weigh several factors found on a facility's inspection reports. One key criteria we consider is the number and severity of deficiencies. Nursing homes with higher grades in this area usually have very few severe deficiencies. Front Royal received its next best score in the category of short-term care, where we gave it a grade of B-, which is also a respectable grade. Finally, this place were awarded a B- for its long-term care score and a grade of F in nursing. Although we found most of its grades to be decent, this nursing grade is not a very good sign for levels of nursing staffing.
