With a population of 11,007 people, Atlanta, Texas is a relatively small city. There are just 2 nursing homes there, which does not give you too many options. These facilities earned on average an overall grade of C. This isn't a bad grade, but it isn't as high of a score as we like to see either. We also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Marshall, which received a city grade of D. While we not raving about either city, we found the nursing homes in Atlanta to be a bit better. Nursing homes with better grades in this category most likely avoided the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. Atlanta also received an impressive long-term care score where it earned a B in this category.
