The best aspect of Union's strong report card is its nursing homes' inspection scores. We discuss inspections in the next section
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city an A- in our inspections category. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing these inspection grades. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some deficiencies end up being quite minor. In addition, the city also really excelled in the area of short-term care, where we gave it an A-. Lastly, this place received a B for its long-term care score and a B- for nursing.
