With 15,222 people, Clinton, South Carolina is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes there, which doesn't give you too many options. While it only has a couple of nursing homes, this city received a top-notch city grade of A+. We found this city grade to be considerably better than the city grade of B received by the nearby city of Simpsonville. Both cities have some quality nursing homes, but Clinton appears to be a much better bet. Headlining this place's exemplary report card is its inspection reports, which is addressed in the next paragraph.
As mentioned above, this city received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize that some of the city's facilities received nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We awarded Clinton an impressive grade of A+ for this area. Inspection ratings are based on datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this area tend to have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Clinton also performed remarkably well in the area of short-term care, where we gave it an A+ for that category. Wrapping up its straight A report card, Clinton received an A for its nursing score and an A in long-term care.
