Marion, North Carolina is a small city with 30,600 people. The city features only one nursing home, which is not the selection we were hoping for. Fortunately, its only nursing home received a phenomenal overall grade of A-. This city has the prestigious distinction of being the sixth best city in the state of North Carolina according to our ratings. Hopefully you are content with this facility. If you're searching for additional options, you're going to have to look in other cities.
As mentioned above, this city's lone nursing home received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to point out its nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave it an impressive grade of A+ in this category. Arguably the most important factor we look at in calculating our inspection scores is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Nursing homes with better scores in this area most likely dodged the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. We also gave this nursing home an A- for our short-term care category. In our final two categories, Marion were awarded a grade of B for its nursing score and a grade of B- in long-term care.
