This city's best category grade came in the area of inspections. In that category, we gave Cumberland a grade of B. Our inspection grades are tied to many pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Cumberland received a grade of B in our long-term care category. In the other categories we looked at, we awarded the city grades of C and D for our short-term care and nursing categories respectively. Even with an otherwise respectable profile, a nursing rating of this caliber may be a bad sign for levels of nurse staffing.
