There are two nursing homes in Rayville, Louisiana, which at least gives you a few options. This small group of nursing homes in this city received a respectable city grade of B-. We also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Ruston, which received a below average city grade of C. While neither city received an elite score, Rayville appears to be the better option. The best part of this place's report card was its nursing homes' stellar inspection reports. We discuss inspections in the following paragraph.
Despite receiving a fairly ordinary overall grade, the nursing homes in Rayville performed spectacularly well in the area of inspections. In fact, some of its facilities received virtually flawless inspection reports this year. Consequently, we awarded Rayville one of our best scores in that category with a grade of A-. Perhaps the most significant factor we look at in calculating our inspection scores is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this category typically avoided the most severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. In addition, the city also really excelled in the category of long-term care, where it received a grade of A-. Lastly, Rayville received terrible grades for our short-term care and nursing categories respectively.
