With just four nursing homes in the city, there are only a couple of options in Dalton, Georgia. The nursing homes here received an excellent city grade of B+. Even with just a couple of facilities, this is still a great sign. This city has the distinction of being the twelfth best city in the state of Georgia according to our ratings. We were also pleased to find that this place's nursing homes did not have any weak links in any of the major categories discussed below. Additional information about its category grades can be found in the next paragraph.
As mentioned above, this city received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to point out that some of the city's facilities received almost flawless health inspections in recent years. We gave Dalton an impressive grade of A+ for this category. These inspection ratings weigh several factors, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. You can find more information about each of these items by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. In addition, Dalton also really excelled in the category of long-term care, where it received an A-. Rounding out its quality report card, we awarded the city a grade of B in our nursing category and a grade of B for short-term care. We truly found Dalton to be very strong everywhere we looked.
