Malvern, Arkansas offers only three nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. These facilities were awarded on average an overall grade of C. This isn't a bad grade, but it isn't quite as strong of a grade as we had hoped for either. This city looks to be a slightly better option than the nearby city of Pine Bluff, which received a weak city grade of D. Frankly, neither of these cities fared very well in our assessment. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like any of the nursing homes in the city really stood out. Nevertheless, we were still able to find a few decent facilities here.
This city's nursing homes received an inspection grade which is stronger than its overall grade. We gave them a favorable grade of B in this category. Inspection grades are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this area typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Malvern's next highest grade was in nursing, where Malvern received a B-. In the other categories we looked at, Malvern received a B- for its long-term care rating and a C in the area of short-term care.
