Laredo, Texas has just four nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. We gave the nursing homes here city grade of C, which is not quite as high of a grade as we had hoped for. This grade is not necessarily the end of the world, but it is well below average by national standards. The best part of this place's report card is its nursing homes' exemplary inspection reports. Inspection reports are discussed in the next section.
While its overall rating was fairly ordinary, this city performed remarkably well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded Laredo an A+ for that category, which is one of our highest scores. Inspection scores are based on items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this area have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. In addition, Laredo also fared well in the area of government long-term care with a B. In the last two categories, this place received terrible grades for our short-term care and nursing areas respectively.
