Gainesville is a city with a population of 26,120 people. There are 4 nursing homes in the city to choose from.
While its overall rating was awful, this city's performed well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it a grade of B for that category, which is one of our better grades. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in calculating these inspection scores. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is usually more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some end up being quite minor. Surprisingly, we also gave Gainesville a respectable grade of C for its short-term care grade. Finally, Gainesville earned grades of C and D for our long-term care and nursing categories respectively. While we found its other categories to be decent, this poor nursing grade isn't a good sign for levels of nursing staffing.
