There are four nursing homes in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, which at least gives you a few choices. We awarded the nursing homes here a strong city grade of B+. Even with only a couple of facilities, this is still a great sign. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of North Charleston, which received a city grade of B-. While there's nothing wrong with this grade, we found the nursing homes Mount Pleasant to be better on the whole. This city's profile was also consistent as it did not receive a single weak category grade either. You can learn more about these in the next paragraph.
On top of having excellent nursing homes on the whole, this place really excelled in the category of inspections, where we gave it an A. Not many cities earned a better grade in this area. Our inspection scores are based on pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this category typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. In addition, Mount Pleasant also performed extremely well in our long-term care category, with an A- for that category. Wrapping up its quality report card, we awarded the city a B+ for its short-term care rating and a grade of B in the area of nursing. We really found this place to be competent in each category we assessed.
