We were able to find just one nursing home in Hartsville, South Carolina. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received an excellent overall grade of B+. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Indian Trail. With Indian Trail receiving an awful city grade, we found the nursing home in Hartsville to be rated much higher than most of the facilities in Indian Trail. This is also one of the ten highest rated cities in South Carolina.
In addition to receiving a strong overall grade, this city's nursing home performed extremely well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it an A+ for that category, which is one of our highest scores. Arguably the most important factor we consider in computing our inspection scores is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places with higher scores in this category most likely avoided the most severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. This nursing home also received an elite grade of A+ in this category. In the other categories we looked at, the city received a B- for its short-term care grade and a C for nursing.
