While its overall score was awful, we actually awarded this city's nursing home a decent grade of C for our inspections rating. Our inspection ratings are based on datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key item to look for on these reports. Severe deficiencies indicate a risk to patient safety. Hartsville's second best category was short-term care where we awarded it a C in this category. In our final two categories, the city received a grade of C for its long-term care score and a grade of D for nursing. Although we found its other categories to be acceptable, this poor nursing rating isn't a good sign for levels of nursing staffing.
