There are three facilities in Darlington, South Carolina, which at least gives you a few options. We awarded the nursing homes in this city an excellent city grade of A-. As mentioned above, this city received a great overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize that some of the city's nursing homes received virtually perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave Darlington an elite grade of A+ in this area. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in determining our inspection grades. One of those factors is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some are quite minor. In addition, the city performed especially well in our long-term care category as well. As a result, it received an A+ in this category. Finally, the city received a B for its nursing grade and a B- in the area of short-term care.
