With a population of 19,061 people, Coshocton, Ohio is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes there, which doesn't give you too many options. The nursing homes in this city received an excellent city grade of A-. Even with only a few nursing homes, this is still a great achievement. We were so impressed with this city that we ranked it as one of the top 500 cities in the United States. This is impressive since we ranked thousands of cities around the nation. Inspection grades are tied to several datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this area typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. The city performed extremely well in terms of its short-term care grade as well. Consequently, we awarded it an A- in that area. Rounding out its report card, the city were awarded an A- for its nursing score and a B- in long-term care. Outside of its long-term care score, this city's other categories were just about as good as it gets.
