Franklinton, Louisiana is a medium size city with 18,540 people. It features just 2 nursing homes, which doesn't provide you with too many choices. Unfortunately, these nursing homes didn't excel from a quality standpoint. Its nursing homes were given a city grade of D, which is one of our worst grade at the city level. For comparison's sake, we looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Kenner, which also received a city grade of D. Both places received forgettable reports in our assessment. Despite all this, one of the few highlights of this city's profile is its impressive inspection score. You can continue reading to find out about inspections and other category scores
This city's nursing homes received an abysmal overall grade, but we really wanted to point out that some of the nursing homes in the city virtually perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave it an impressive grade of A in this category. Inspection scores account for a host of factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we weigh heavily is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. You should avoid nursing homes with too many severe deficiencies flagged. We also wanted to acknowledge that we awarded the city a B- in the area of long-term care. Finally, we awarded the city terrible grades for our short-term care and nursing categories respectively.
