There are only 2 nursing homes in Verona, Wisconsin, providing for a population of 19,225 people. We gave the nursing homes in this city an excellent city grade of A. Even with just a few facilities, this is still quite an accomplishment. We found this city grade was considerably better than the city grade of C received by the nearby city of Freeport. While that is not a terrible grade, Verona appears to be a far better option. Lastly, this city's category grades were just as impressive as its overall city grade. In addition to performing well in its overall grade, many of the nursing homes in Verona performed remarkably well in the area of short-term care. It received one of our best grades in that area with a grade of A. With a short-term care rating in this range we would expect many of the facilities here to a high functioning physical therapy and rehabilitation program. In addition, the city also really excelled in the area of inspections, where it received an A. Very few cities fared this well in this area. Rounding out its straight A profile, the city earned a grade of A for its nursing rating and an A- in long-term care.
