Although we were not high on this place's overall performance, it actually received an impressive inspection report this year with few dings from the applicable government inspectors. In a long-term care environment, the facility's primary objective is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. After assessing the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we next considered the facility's vaccination statistics. Unfortunately, this facility vaccinated a relatively low 56.72131 percent of its patients for pneumonia. Nevertheless, this facility excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.04 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

We awarded this facility a respectable grade in the area of nursing as well, with a grade of C. Our nursing rating is based on the facility's nurse staffing levels. We consider both the levels of training of the nurses and the number of hours spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Finally, despite not having the most impressive total nursing hours per resident, this nursing home actually performed admirably in the area of preventing major falls. This is usually a reliable indicator that a nursing home has sufficient quality controls in place.

Our short-term care grade is commonly used to gauge a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. With its score in this category, we were not stunned to find that this nursing home was well below average in terms of its number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours offered to its patients based on the data we assessed. Honestly, this was about what we expected here. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents that who were able to eventually return home from this facility. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 4.3 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was quite a bit off the national average.
