This nursing home truly excelled in the category of short-term care, where it received a grade of A-. Very few facilities performed more favorably in this category. In the category of short-term care, we endeavor to assess measures of a facility's rehabilitation. We analyze the facility's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses and physical therapists. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Facility Inspections

Grade: B

Another strong feature for this nursing home is that it excelled in the area of inspections, with a B in that category. It outperformed most nursing homes in this category. Arguably the most critical factor we look at in computing our inspection scores is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Facilities with better scores in this area most likely dodged the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. While this facility had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are labeled as categories G, H, I, J, K and L. This means the government inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient safety or health. The fact that the deficiencies were relatively minor made us feel better about this inspection report.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: C

The final area we assessed is long-term care. We awarded it a grade of C in that category. This is a fair grade in this area. If you are looking for anything other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each nursing home's long-term care grades. Once we concluded our assessment of the volume of nursing care, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination record. We were pleased to discover that this nursing home vaccinates 99.55752 percent of its patients against pneumonia. This nursing home keeps its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
