Short-term Care Quality
On top of receiving a strong overall score, this facility fared well in our short-term care category. In fact, we awarded it an A for that category, which is one of our best grades. In determining our short-term care scores, we assess the nursing home's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists occupational therapists and other highly trained professionals. This area is more often than not a fair measure of a nursing home's ability to rehabilitate patients. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 5.7 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.
Facility Inspections
This facility also excelled in the area of inspections. We awarded it an B+ for that area, which is one of our highest scores. This is one of the few nursing homes with an overall grade in this range which earned multiple category grades this high. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining our inspection ratings. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these are quite insignificant. This particular nursing home received 3 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

Although this is not as good as several of its other grades, this is still an acceptable grade for this category. If you are looking for services other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each facility's long-term care ratings. Once we assessed the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. Candidly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this nursing home vaccinated 86.03604 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which happens to be significantly less than average. Fortunately, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
