Redmond, Oregon is a small city with 33,554 people. It features only one nursing home, which is fewer than we were hoping for. We were relieved to discover that, this city's only nursing home received an excellent grade of B+, so at least there is one quality option. In fact, Redmond ended up being the seventh best city in the state of Oregon according to our ratings. The best part of this nursing home's impressive profile was its inspection grade. We discuss inspections in the next paragraph
In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's nursing home performed extremely well in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly perfect inspection report this year. Consequently, we awarded it one of our best grades in that category with an A-. Arguably the most significant factor we look at in computing our inspection scores is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Facilities with better scores in this category typically avoided the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. This facility also performed remarkably well in the area of short-term care. In fact, we gave it a grade of A-. Rounding out its report card, Redmond earned grades of A- and D for our nursing and long-term care areas respectively. Setting aside its abysmal long-term care score, this city's other three grades were remarkably strong.
