There are two nursing homes in New Bern, North Carolina, so at least you have a few options. This relatively small group of nursing homes were awarded on average an overall grade of B-, which isn't a bad grade for the city. This is just about average by national standards, which is nothing to be ashamed of. One of the major highlights of this city's report card is its exemplary inspection grade, which is addressed in the following paragraph.
This city's nursing homes received a somewhat average overall grade, but we really would like to point out that some of the nursing homes in the city almost flawless health inspections in recent years. We awarded it an elite grade of A+ in this area. Perhaps the most important factor we look at in determining our inspection grades is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities with higher scores in this area typically dodged the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. The city also earned one of our higher grades in our long-term care category, with a grade of B. In the last two categories, we gave New Bern terrible grades for our short-term care and nursing areas respectively.
