Las Cruces, New Mexico offers just five nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. Unfortunately, this city received a city grade of D, which is a sign that these nursing homes generally did not fare well in our ratings. While its overall score was awful, this city performed better in nursing. We gave it a grade of B- for that category. In determining a nursing home's nursing rating, we weigh the quantity of hours nurses are with patients as well as the levels of training of those nurses. Surprisingly, this city performed respectably in the area of inspections as well, where it received a C for this category. Lastly, we gave the city middle of the road grades for our short-term care and long-term care categories.
