There are two nursing homes in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, so at least you have a few choices. Despite only having a couple of nursing homes, this city received a top-notch city grade of A-. In fact, this city's city grade was even better than the city grade of nursing homes in the local city of Lapeer. This is especially impressive in light of the fact that we awarded those facilities in Lapeer a city grade of B, which is actually a good grade in its own right. As mentioned above, this city received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to emphasize that some of its nursing homes received almost perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave Fort Gratiot an impressive grade of A+ in this area. Inspection ratings are tied to several items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that score well in this area have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. We also awarded Fort Gratiot a grade of A- in our short-term care rating. Rounding out its impressive profile, the city earned a B+ for its nursing rating and a B in the area of long-term care. We really found Fort Gratiot to be very strong everywhere we looked.
