Natchitoches, Louisiana offers just two nursing homes to choose from, so you have relatively limited options. Unfortunately, this city received a city grade of D, which is a sign that these nursing homes generally did not receive good grades in our assessment. By way of comparison, we awarded the facilities in the local city of Pineville a city grade of F, which is a well below average score. Although neither city received a glowing review, we found the facilities in Natchitoches to be a better option. We really don't have many positive things to say about this place's facilities, but they did receive surprisingly strong inspection scores. You can continue reading to find out about this.
While its overall score was terrible, the facilities in Natchitoches performed favorably in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it a B+ for that category, which is one of our better scores. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining our inspection scores. One critical factor is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more important than the number of deficiencies, as some of these end up being quite minor. Surprisingly, we also awarded Natchitoches a decent grade of B- for our long-term care category. In the last two categories, Natchitoches earned terrible grades for our short-term care and nursing categories respectively.
