With two nursing homes in the city, there are only a couple of options in Sebring, Florida. We gave this city a solid city grade of B- for an overall score. This is a middle of the road score compared to other cities in the country. One of the best aspects of this place's profile is its stellar inspection score, which is addressed in the following paragraph.
Despite receiving a somewhat average overall grade, this city's nursing homes performed extremely well in the area of inspections. In fact, some of the nursing homes in the city received nearly flawless inspection reports this year. Consequently, we awarded Sebring one of our best scores in that category with an A. Our inspection ratings are based on several items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this area tend to have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This city received its next highest score in the area of short-term care, where we gave it a grade of B-, which is also a decent grade. Finally, this place received a B- for its long-term care rating and a grade of D in nursing. Although we found most of its grades to be acceptable, this low nursing rating is not a great sign for levels of nursing staffing.
