There is just one nursing home in Auburn, Alabama. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received a phenomenal overall grade of A-. In fact, Auburn is one of the top 500 cities in the country. This is impressive considering we assessed thousands of cities around the nation. This facility's impressive report card was highlighted by its inspection grade, which we will address in the next section.
In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's lone nursing home performed spectacularly well in our inspections category. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our best grades in that category with a grade of A+. Arguably the most important factor we look at in calculating our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Facilities with higher grades in this category most likely avoided the most severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. This facility also earned an impressive grade of A in our long-term care category. Wrapping up its report card, the city earned strong scores for our short-term care and nursing areas as well.
