We were able to find just one nursing home in Rio Grande City, Texas. We awarded the city's sole nursing home a grade of B-, which is a a solid rating. This is a middle of the road score compared to other cities in the United States. One of the major highlights of this nursing home's profile is its stellar inspection score, which we will address in the next paragraph.
While its overall score was fairly ordinary, this city's only nursing home performed spectacularly well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it an A+ for that category, which is one of our best scores. Inspection ratings are based on many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this area have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This nursing home also really excelled in the area of long-term care, where it received an A. In our final two categories, the city earned abysmal grades for our nursing and short-term care areas respectively.
