With 11,887 people, Gonzales, Texas is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes in the city, which doesn't offer you too many options to choose from. This city received a fairly ordinary overall grade, but we really wanted to emphasize that some of the nursing homes in the city almost flawless health inspections the past few years. We gave it an impressive grade of A- in this area. Inspection ratings are tied to many items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this category have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. In addition, Gonzales earned a grade of B+ for our long-term care category. In the other categories we looked at, Gonzales received rock bottom grades for our short-term care and nursing categories respectively.
