Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to being a great facility overall, it also received A+ inspections recently. Its inspections were virtually flawless. These inspection scores take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. You can learn more about each of these factors by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. Amazingly, this was one of the few nursing homes in the country that had no deficiencies whatsoever on its inspection report. This is very impressive. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A-minus

We also wanted to emphasize the fact that this facility received an impressive grade of A- in our nursing category. Nursing grades are largely tied to the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

This facility also was given a impressive long-term care score. Indeed, this is this facility's third best category score. In that category, we awarded this facility a score of A-. In a long-term care setting, the facility's primary goal is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. On top of assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we analyzed the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility gave the vaccine to 90.7258 percent of its residents. This is a few points below what we were hoping for but still a decent figure. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B

Turning to the last category, this facility was awarded a strong short-term care score. Even though this was not as elite as a few of its other grades, this remains one of our more impressive grades we offer. In calculating our short-term care ratings, we look at the nursing home's levels of skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists speech therapists and other types of therapists. This rating is considered to be a reliable measure of a nursing home's rehabilitation services. It doesn't look like this facility submitted information about its staffing of registered nurses or physical therapists. The last statistic we considered in this category is the percentage of residents who ultimately were able to return home from the nursing home. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.
