On top of being a first rate nursing home overall, this facility also excelled in the area of nursing, where it received an A+. Few nursing homes fared better in this area. In determining our nursing scores, we look at both the number of hours nurses spend with residents and the training levels of the nurses. This nursing home provides an incredible 5.1 hours of nursing care per patient each day. Out of that total, many of the hours were provided by registered nurses, which is one of the more highly trained levels of nurses. In addition to offering high levels of care, this nursing home also excelled in the quality-based metrics we assessed. It performed as well as any facility in Florida in terms of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.

Inspection ratings are based on several datapoints located in the a nursing home's inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This nursing home was hit with 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be major deficiencies. This indicates that the government inspectors didn't deem any of these deficiencies to pose an immediate risk to patient safety or health. Remember that deficiency-free inspection reports are rare in the industry.
