To go along with its strong overall score, we awarded this facility a grade of A for our inspections rating. Arguably the most significant factor we look at in determining our inspection grades is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Facilities with better scores in this area typically dodged the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. Fortunately, although this nursing home had some minor dings on its government inspection report, it had zero severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those found in categories G, H, I, J, K and L. This means the government inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient safety or health. The fact that the deficiencies were relatively minor leaves us less concerned with this inspection report.

This facility was awarded impressive grades in the category of short-term care as well. As a result, we awarded it one of our most superb scores in that area with a score of A. Short-term care scores are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a wide range of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, not to mention other forms of therapy. It does not appear that this facility submitted registered nurse or physical therapist staffing data. Lastly, we assessed the percentage of patients that ultimately were able to return home from this facility. This facility performed better in this area than in its staffing levels. It performed as well as just about any facility in this area with 62.8 percent of its patients returning home.

Another strong feature for this facility is that it received an impressive nursing grade. In that area, we awarded this facility a grade of B. The nursing score weighs quite a few subcategories, however, the primary one is the number of nurse hours per patient per week. This nursing home provides 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This place performed better than average in this area. This is often a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can many times be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

The final area we scored is long-term care. We gave this nursing home an acceptable grade in that category, with a grade of B-. Even though this is not as dominant as some of this facility's other scores, it is still not a poor grade. In computing our long-term care scores, we look at the assistance with daily living offered to a nursing home's patients. On top of considering the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This facility vaccinated 97.073166 percent of its residents, which is more than the majority of nursing homes. This place also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. It had just 1.11 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a much lower hospitalization rate than most nursing homes.
